Questions buyers ask.

Is your deal flow proprietary?

Yes. We source our deals ourselves, mostly through direct relationships with founders, and we often start working with them well before they go to market. Most of our mandates are exclusive. We also advise funds on portfolio company exits. If you're thinking about exits across your portfolio, or would like support with them, we'd be happy to talk.

What kind of deals do you bring?

Mostly full exits and majority acquisitions, with some clients open to other structures. The companies we represent have $5m to $100m in revenue and beyond, and are often established, profitable businesses that are still underscaled, ready for a buyer who can take them to the next level.

Which sectors do you work in?

Technology is the core of our expertise: software, B2B SaaS and tech services, with a smaller share of consumer businesses. Within that we're vertical agnostic, though we're particularly active in some spaces, such as cybersecurity and sales enablement. We're not limited to tech either, and regularly work in other sectors, such as industrials.

Which regions do you cover?

We're global, with clients across continents, and Europe and North America are our main markets. Having people on the ground in several regions gives us a strong network worldwide, including in markets that are harder to reach and less covered by other advisors.

Do all your deals go through a structured sale process?

Not always. When a client is ready to sell, we run a full, structured process. But we often start working with founders well ahead of a sale, and some only want to explore their options at first. In those cases we take a more strategic approach and make a few targeted introductions to buyers whose criteria we know. That's why it pays to keep us up to date on what you're looking for.

How do you choose which opportunities to send us?

We start from the criteria you give us and what we can learn about your firm. Then we refine our understanding with every exchange and every piece of feedback on the deals we send. Some buyers would rather see almost everything and say a quick no; others only want what fits their thesis exactly. Tell us how you like to work and we'll adjust. If your focus changes, a quick note is enough. Registered buyers can also browse our live deals page, which shows part of our current opportunities, as some deals can only be shared case by case.

Is there a cost for buyers?

No. On our sell-side mandates, our fees are paid by the seller. Buy-side work is separate: a buy-side search is its own engagement, and an informal introduction may carry an introduction fee. Either way, we agree the terms with you before we start.

Can you run a buy-side search for us?

Yes, and beyond our sell-side deals there are three ways we can help. We can introduce you to founders we know but don't represent, when they fit what you're looking for. With a clear thesis, such as add-ons for a platform, we can run a targeted search using our sourcing engine and our network, and open the doors for you. And if you already know who you want to talk to but can't get through, we can open the door. We're deeply connected in founder networks and communities, which gives us ways to reach founders that buyers often don't have. More on buy-side searches →
